Installation of StockRock on Kevin Dodds' dairy farm in Kaitaia was attended by 30-or-so farmers, advisors, and contractors.
Undeterred by heavy rainfall overnight, the group listened and observed as StockRock product manager Shane Smith used an excavator to scrape the race area clean and clear of soft material. After this preparation step, the StockRock was spread on the evenly contoured surface, track-rolled and finally compacted with a vibrating roller. The finished race has a compacted depth of 120mm over the full fence-to-fence width of the race.
